About the Dubuque Cable Car - “Everything about this ride is antique and charming. You get in at the bottom, pull a cord that rings a bell to alert someone at the top that you want to go up. You then ride up in a tight little old car. The cables ride on extremely worn wooden rollers. Even the turnstile is ancient at the top. It's charming to pay after the fact. $2 for adults and $1 for kids round trip is a bargain.”
